Feed The Need!

Spikes in inflation and gas prices have impacted many within the Hampton Roads area who are left to make difficult day-to-day decisions. According to Wavy-TV 10 News, the average gas price for regular fuel is $4.18. Filling a 15-gallon tank would cost approximately $63, and most will fill up multiple times between pay periods. Additionally, many face difficulty deciding where their next meal will come from. Food scarcity is a clear indicator of a community's economic and social health. Six of the seven major cities that make up Hampton Roads have ~22K families below poverty with children. A Cut Above seeks to ease the mentioned burdens of struggling families within the community. We recognize our responsibility to give back and take an active role in the issues impacting our communities. A Cut Above does not solely seek to offer service for profits but also to provide and hand in need. What greater need is there than the need to address hunger. We believe families shouldn’t have to choose between gas and a hot meal.

We are partnering with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Eastern Shore to host food drives within several of the most impacted areas. We’ve donated a percentage of profits to help reach families throughout the region. Every $10 donated permits up to $60 worth of groceries. We have partnered with Shell gas station to raffle $500 gas cards during our Feed The Need drive to all registered members. Don’t miss an opportunity to win; enter your contact information here! Supporting and caring are a part of our culture and who we are. Our staff and employees represent our communities and experience firsthand the issues our clients face. We can create solutions to the challenges within our homes and communities. Together we can stay a cut above difficult times.
