Code of Ethics

A Cut Above Code of Ethics

A Cut Above is committed to operating with honesty and integrity. We understand that action speaks louder than words and strive to create an environment of values for our clients and every associated member. Every member of our company is valuable and deserves to be treated with dignity. We have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination or unacceptable behavior based on race, sex, religion, age, or ethnicity. Members and clients are instructed to report any inappropriate behavior to management.

We believe in open communication to solicit feedback and bring awareness to detrimental issues without fear of reprisal. We comply with existing Barbering and Cosmetology Regulations established by the state of Virginia. Our major priorities are the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and clients. Our establishment adheres to the Sanitation and Safety Standards for shops, salons, and schools within Virginia. Our reputation hinges on all members adhering to our Code of Ethics. We ask that our clients refrain from intrusive behavior that affects the relationships between stylists and clients. Our services are our primary advertisement form, and we ask that clients do not take credit for services performed by our professionals. Clients are encouraged to leave reviews on media platforms; however, language that discredits our establishment's reputation or professionals without cause will merit administrative action. The personal data collected as part of our service is confidential. We will not share this data with external parties or other clients. Clients and stylists are expected to remain respectful and address resolutions with management if there is a disagreement due to the services provided. Not adhering to the mentioned Code of Ethics will result in administrative actions or the right to restrict services. Concerns and issues can be reported directly to our management team by email at acutabovevirginia@gmail.com. Together we can remain a cut above.
